At the age of 19 She released her debut single Here. It quickly became a hit, and both critics and fans praised it. It reached the top spot at 19th at both Canadian Hot 100 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the hit one of the Best Songs of 2015. That same year, she released her debut album Know It All with the third track Scars to Your Beautiful being the first of five tracks which reached the top of Billboard charts, including the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. The track in question was unique since based on her interview with Rap-Up many listeners were inspired by her story of doubting herself and learning how to love herself. Cara incorporates messages about compassion and self-love throughout her songs. Her inspiration for her music comes from Cara's personal struggle to conquer mental health issues and insomnia. In an Reuters interview she describes her album as half-tumultuous and half well-crafted. She tells people that she experienced growth in therapy. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11, 1996. When she was just 10 years old, her parents bought her a guitar, which was the foundation of her musical passion. 2013 was the year she recorded some of her most loved songs on YouTube, a popular media platform. It was done to show that she had the ability and the confidence to pursue a career as an artist. Sweater Weather became her most famous song. The record label EP Entertainment EP Entertainment, noticed her and allowed her write songs.
