The debut single of hers was released in the year 2015. This single received a lot of praise and was well-received from critics as well as listeners. The Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked it as 19. Even Rolling Stone named the song one of the Top Songs in 2015. The singer released her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third single, Scars to Your Beautiful was one of five tracks that made it to the top of the charts on Billboard which included Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. Based on an interview she did together with Rap Up, the track had lots of significance for a lot of the listeners who related to her personal story of finding acceptance and appreciation for yourself. Cara is known for incorporating songs about mental health, compassion and self-love in her music. Her inspiration for her music stems from her personal struggles to conquer mental health issues as well as insomnia. According to a Reuters Interview, her album is described as half tumultuous half perfected. She found growth through therapy and advises people to seek assistance if needed. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto, Canada. She was born on July 11th, 1996 to parents of Italian origins. Her parents gifted her with a guitar when she was 10 and this ignited her love for music. When she was 13she began covering songs she adored on YouTube in order to show the public that she was talented and had the courage to make a profession of a musician. One of the songs Sweater Weather was able to get noticed by a label known as EP Entertainment which allowed her to compose and record the tracks.
