Dua Lipa was born on 22nd August, 1995 in London, the United Kingdom. After a stint as a fashion model and songwriter, she decided to sign with Warner Bros Records and release her debut album "Dua Lipa" in 2017. The album reached number. 3 on the U.K. Charts. There were eight singles that were released, including Be the First I.D.G.A.F., and New Rules. In the United States it peaked as number 6. Lipa received the Brit Award in 2018 as a British Female Soloist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is certified platinum in a number of countries. Anesa Laxha as well as Dukagjin lipa. She has Bosnian descent through her maternal grandmother. Her ancestors also come from the Kosovo town Peja. Lipa's grandparents were both historians.
